Bullying takes many forms, and it has no age limit. Usually, people are bullied because they are perceived as being different. It can truly be devastating to the individual self-esteem, suffering such degradation. Alterity is against bullying, and sympathises with the bullied. We love your otherness, and we will guide you to own your otherness. People don't have to like you, but they can learn to respect you. You are amazing just the way you are! We are prepared to go the extra mile in a journey towards nurturing your otherness and helping you grow in it as a survivor!

Trauma Counselling

Trauma changes who we are fundamentally, it changes how we act, think and relate to others and ourselves. Alterity is deeply passionate about helping you to identify with your new understanding and perspectives, and show you that even though it might make you different, your otherness is beautiful and you can embrace your profound depth and otherness despite what you have faced. You are valid! You are valued! And Alterity embraces your trauma and your otherness therefore!

Loss can be devastating. Losing something or someone dear to you, can be devastating and incomprensibly hard. You are not alone, and you don't have to be anymore. Let Alterity help you embrace your feelings, and guide you to understand them in a new light. It might make you feel a bit different, and that's something that pain can do. You are different and your needs are different, but Alterity embraces difference! And so we'll embrace you and your loss, and show you that there's a way to peace. Alternatively, if you have a loved one suffering from a terminal illness, Alterity will be there to guide you through your loved one's last moments.

Sexuality & Gender Affirming Counselling

In this session, targeted at people from the LGBTQIA community, Alterity will explore your deeply vulnerable sense of self with regard to your sexuality and help you accept yourself and be comfortable in your newfound identity! And if you need/want to, we will help you explain this to your loved ones and help them reconcile your new sexual identity, on your behalf or with you!

Family Counselling
